Looking Ahead

Looking ahead, Edmond Public Schools plans to build two schools adjacent to our south property line beginning in 2012. The new elementary is to open August of 2013 and the new middle school is scheduled to open August 2014. The bond election to build the elementary is scheduled for 2011 which means ground-breaking spring 2012 and finish and open August 2013. The middle school's bond election is scheduled for late 2012, ground-breaking spring 2013 and open August of 2014. Moreover, the City of Edmond has informed us that our entry may be compromised by 2013 when Covell Road becomes a divided parkway. It is imperative that we begin now to make plans to better serve our growing community. The EKG Campaign (Expanding the Kingdom of God) is designed to begin to address these needs by providing additional space for worship, education and parking as well as a new entry from Pennsylvania Avenue.
